The Charles City Community School District is aware that the SchoolPay portal is currently not pulling the PowerSchool fees for your students. The vendor is aware of this and is working on resolving the issue with their software. In the meantime, please continue to complete your eRegistration in PowerSchool. We will send out a notification once SchoolPay is available to process any outstanding fees. 

Charles City Schools will be using a new communication tool named Bright Arrow for the 25-26 school year. This will replace School Messenger.

The first time you receive a text message from us, arriving from 79041, you will also receive, as a separate text, an invite to continue receiving texts. It is important that you reply YES to that text message. If you do not reply to it, you will not receive further text messages.

Extended InvitationWith the proposed bond, we would also like to extend an invitation to all of our Charles City Community School District families and community members to tour the high school. We would like our families & community members to take this opportunity to see the current state of our high school & reflect upon what our current & future students need to thrive. Tours will begin every half-hour, beginning at 11:00.

REGISTRATION

If you have not already done so, please take a few moments to complete the e-registration in PowerSchool before school starts. This process is required to be completed every year, regardless of which school your student attends. If you don't remember your username or password, you can click the forgot username or password link on the login page, and it will email you a link to reset your password. If this process does not work, please contact the high school office at 641-257-6510 for assistance.

STUDENT SCHEDULES

Students should now be able to view their schedules on PowerSchool for the Fall term. If they need to make a change in their schedule, they will need to follow the procedure outlined below:

• Students will go to all of their classes on Monday, August 25th, as scheduled in PowerSchool. There will be no schedule change requests on the first day of school, as that day will be reserved for new students and scheduling errors.
• Requests for schedule changes will take place Aug. 26th-29th by appointment with your school counselor only. Appointment requests for the Classes of 2027 and 2029 will be available at Mrs. Smith's BookMe Page, and appointment requests for the Classes of 2026 and 2028 will be available at Ms. Brandau's BookMe Page. These links will not be available until the morning of August 25th.
• We will NOT accept schedule change requests through email.
